Men’s Lacrosse Routs Western New England On Senior Day, 16-8

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team downed Western New England (WNE), 16-8, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.

Prior to the game, Colin Burns (Marshfield, Mass.), Nate Cuttitta (Williston, Vt.), Matthew DiLorenzo (Franklin Lakes, N.J.), Jaden Elsinger (Richmond, Vt.), Max Kesicki (Katonah, N.Y.), Ned LaVallee (Hingham, Mass.), Tim Luciano (Westport, Conn.), Max Maggipinto (Westfield, Mass.), Domenic Masucci (Reading, Mass.), Domenic Russo (Northborough, Mass.), and Domenic Valera (Fitchburg, Mass.) were all honored for their contributions to the program and Endicott College community. 

As for the contest, The Gulls flew out to a 4-1 advantage in the first quarter and never looked back.

Russo paced all scorers with four tallies, while Nick Graap (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.), and Kesicki registered hat tricks. 

Cuttitta, Nick Pagluiso (Shelton, Conn.), and Valera all scored twice in the win too.

Defensively, LaVallee collected seven ground balls, while Joe Connor (Barrie, Ontario) and Matt Cawley (Westwood, Mass.) caused three turnovers apiece.

In between the pipes, Luciano recorded 17 saves (11-4). 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • The Gulls held the Golden Bears to their lowest scoring output in conference play this season. 
  • Endicott is on an eight-game winning streak. 
  • Despite the loss, WNE leads the all-time series versus Endicott, 17-13.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (11-4, 7-0 CCC) hosts Gordon on Wednesday, April 26 at 7 PM. Western New England (8-8, 6-1 CCC) hosts Nichols Wednesday, April 26 at 7 PM.
