Men's Lacrosse Team is Overtaken by Keene State

The Gulls suffered a tough loss against Keene State College of New Hampshire. This was the second meeting between the two colleges in school history. The Gulls defeated Keene State last season in the 2003 ECAC Division III Championships. Last night in the second meeting, it was all Keene State winning by a margin of 15-7.

The Keene State Owls jumped out to an early 6-2 first quarter lead, and the game remained scoreless until the third quarter. Junior Burt Fahy closed the gap with a third quarter goal to make the score 6-3. Again, Keene State rallied with back-to-back goals by Joe Banciforte to close out the third quarter with an 11-6 lead. In the final quarter of lacrosse action, the Gulls netted a quick goal by Corey Fox. Goalies Matt Bagshaw recorded six saves in the first half of play while Jeff Pardue recorded eight saves in the second half.

The Gulls host non-conference member, Wesleyan University this Thursday at 4:00pm.
