No. 3 Men's Ice Hockey Breezes Past Nichols, 9-2

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 3 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey team downed Nichols, 9-2, in conference action on Friday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Connor Amsley (Carlisle, Pa.) highlighted the Gulls with a hat trick, while Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) netted a pair of tallies.

Liam Ovington (Warminster, Pa.), Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y), and Jack Ring (Guilford, Conn.), also found the back of the net in the convincing victory. 

In goal for the Gulls,  Atticus Kelly (St. Paul, Minn.) turned away 11 shots to improve to 10-0-2 on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Amsley registered the first hat trick of his colligate career. 
  • Endicott is 15-4-0 all-time against Nichols.
  • The Gulls have won 12 straight versus the Bison.
  • Ovington recorded the first score of his colligate career. 

WHAT'S NEXT 

No. 3 nationally Endicott (20-1-2, 18-0-2 CCC) closes out the regular season on the road against No. 6 nationally ranked Curry on Saturday, February 18 at 3 PM. Nichols (9-15-0, 5-15-0 CCC) hosts Salve Regina on Saturday, February 19 at 4:40 PM.
