Bowes, Besinger, Kucerovy & Horwitz Claim CCC All-Conference Honors

CCC ALL-CONFERENCE RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Four members of the Endicott men's ice hockey program have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) postseason accolades, as announced by the league office yesterday.

Josh Bowes (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) headlined the group as a CCC All-Conference first team selection, while Tommy Besinger (Milton, Mass.) received second team honors ahead of teammates Daniel Kucerovy (Bethel Park, Pa.) and Carter Horwitz (Tustin, Calif.) who were both chosen to the third team.

JOSH BOWES | SR. | F | EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA

In 24 games played this season, Bowes registered 18 goals and 21 assists for 39 points.

Bowes, arguably the best two-way forward in the CCC, ranks third in goals and points in the league. He also is positioned sixth in assists, first in short-handed goals (5), and No. 12 in power play goals (4). Nationally, Bowes is ninth in goals per game (0.75), No. 21 in assists per game (0.88), and first in short-handed goals.

This is Bowes first career All-Conference honor.

TOMMY BESINGER | SR. | F | MILTON, MASS.

Besinger notched eight goals and 29 assists for 37 points this season in 24 appearances.

Besinger currently ranks first in the conference in assists, fifth in points, No. 24 in goals, and fifth in power play tallies (5).

Meanwhile, among all NCAA Division III skaters, Besinger is tenth in points per game (1.54), second in assists per game (1.21), and No. 35 in power play goals.

With today's awards announcement, Besinger is now a two-time All-Conference award winner (first team in 2016-17).

DANIEL KUCEROVY | SR. | F | BETHAL PARK, PA.

Kucerovy's senior campaign has included 16 goals and 25 assists for a total of 41 points so far in 24 games played.

Kucerovy ranks tied for first in the conference in points and hat tricks (2), fourth in goals and assists, and tenth in game-winning goals (2). On the national scene, Kucerovy is fourth in points per game (1.71), No. 14 in goals per game (0.67), and seventh in assists per game (1.04).

Like Besinger, this is Kucerovy's second career All-Conference honor (second team in 2017-18).

CARTER HORWITZ | SR. | D | TUSTIN, CALIF.

The only defenseman in the group of Gulls' award winners, Horwitz has produced seven goals and 13 assists for 20 points in 25 games played. Horwitz currently ranks fourth among all defensemen in the conference in points, first in goals, and sixth in assists. He also is positioned first in game-winning goals in the conference.

Meanwhile, among all DIII defensemen, Horwitz is No. 22 in points per game (0.80).

Horwitz is now a two-time All-Conference honoree (ECAC Northeast first team). He also claimed ECAC Northeast Rookie Team honors in 2015-16 as well.
