Lance Greene earns All-TCCC First Team honors

Sophomore guard Lance Greene (Dorchester, Mass.) was named to the All-TCCC First Team after leading the Gulls to the \#6 seed in the conference tournament, as it was announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Voting for the All-TCCC Team and the major awards were conducted by the TCCC men’s basketball head coaches.

Greene is a captain for the Gulls who earned an 8-5 league record, their best conference mark since the 2006-07 season. In 11 conference games played, Greene averaged 17.1 ppg with a 53.6 FG% and 76.6 FT%. The sophomore also averaged 5.2 rpg and 1.6 apg while making 21 steals.

This is the second time Greene has earned All-TCCC honors after being named to the Third Team after his freshman campaign.

The TCCC named Anthony Click from Anna Maria Player of the Year, Sam Herrick from Wentworth Defensive Player of the Year, Ryan Sheehan from Nichols Rookie of the Year, and Taylor Petruccelli from Roger Williams Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Shawn Conrad from Anna Maria was named Coach of the Year while Gordon and Wentworth shared the Team Sportsmanship Award.

The Gulls now look ahead to the TCCC Quarterfinals which will be played on Tuesday, February 22nd at 7:00 pm in Bristo, R.I. Endicott, the \#6 seed in the tournament, have drawn \#3 seed Roger Williams who they defeated 68-62 back on January 27th. In that game, Lance Greene scored a game-high 19 points on 6-of-8 from the floor with one three-pointer and 6-of-10 from the free throw line. He added seven rebounds, three steals, and two assists in the win.
