The season for Endicott Equestrian will continue with the qualification of Morgan Entwistle and Jenna Apgar for Zone Finals. Zone 1 finals will be held Saturday, April 4 at Mt. Holyoke College.
The earning of the ribbon for Morgan was intense, but she held it together beautifully. First there were two heats of the Walk-Trot-Canter level. From those two classes six were chosen as finalists. Then four of those were asked to switch horses…and finally the winners were chosen, sending Morgan to Zones.
In Novice Flat, Nicole McClellan and Lillian Dugan made it to the call back and placed 4th and 5th respectively. Emily Charette came in 6th in the Challenge Cup, open only to the top 10 Open riders in the Region. Caitlyn Dwyer placed 4th in Intermediate Fences, and Gareth Benshoff placed 6th in Open Fences. Morgan Knight place 3rd in Walk-Trot. Nicole McClellan and Lillian Dugan rode in Novice Fences and Hope Elias rode in Walk-Trot-Canter but did not place.
Despite the persistent snow and freezing temperatures, team members Michelle Lorenti, Silvia Graf and Jenna Frasca heroically held horses through the competition. This task is essential for a smooth running show and deserves high recognition.
