Crew Opens Season At Chebacco Invitational Chase

ESSEX, Mass. — The Endicott crew team opened up its 2022-23 season against host Gordon and Merrimack on Friday evening in the Chebacco Invitational Chase at the Rowing Center, on Chebacco Lake.

The Gulls saw their men's varsity 4+ boat finish second overall, sandwiched in between two Gordon boats, while the women's varsity one 4+ and varsity two 4+ boats both ranked third in their respective races.

The men's varsity 4+ consisted of Michael Reeves (Reading, Mass.), Mitchell Umenhofer (Georgetown, Mass.), Trajan Gilson (Lincolnville, Maine), Nicholas Guinta (Middletown, N.J.), and Garrett Egan (Yardley, Pa.).

Meanwhile, the women's one and two 4+ boats were comprised of Kelly McKaig (Glastonbury, Conn.), Katelyn Hamm (Roslindale, Mass.), Sophia Jensen (Long Branch, N.J.), Emily Forward (Concord, N.H.), and Abigail Henderson (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine) / Jordanna Laprise (Hanover, Mass.), Lily O'Neil (Essex, Conn.), Kelly Taft (Hanover, Mass.), Eve Young (Guilford, Conn.), and Caitlin Ryan (Groton, Mass.).

Today's race was full of plenty of support from parents, students, and alums as many Gulls were back at The Nest thanks to Homecoming and Family Weekend.
