SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Endicott College baseball team was selected to finish in fifth-place this season in The Commonwealth Coast Conference according to the TCCC Preseason Polls announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league's head baseball coaches.

Defending Champion Western New England College was selected as the favorite to win the 2009 Commonwealth Coast Conference baseball championship. Western New England College (33-13, 17-5) received seven of the 12 first-place votes in the 2009 TCCC preseason poll. Roger Williams who received four first place votes was selected as the runner-up, while Curry was picked to finish third. Wentworth received the one remaining first-place vote and was selected to finish fourth, while Endicott and Salve Regina were picked to finish in a tie for fifth place.

Last season, the Gulls finished at 19-21 and 13-9 in the TCCC, good for fifth place. The Gulls look to improve on a solid season and build towards a return to the TCCC Finals.

Teams received 12 points for every first place vote received, 11 points for second place votes, 10 points for third place votes, down to one point for a last place vote. First place votes are shown in parentheses.
