BRISTOL, RI - The Endicott College baseball team got on the board early and never looked back, posting double digits in a 10-0 rout over CCC opponent Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI on Friday afternoon. The win improves the Gulls CCC record to 6-3, good for fourth place in the Conference.

Endicott opened the game by rattling off three straight hits from Aaron Santos (Cambridge, MA/Cushing Academy), Erik Fields (Swampscott, MA/Swampscott) and Brian Andersen (Grafton, MA/Grafton) to load the bases early on. Senior outfielder Joe Orlando (Gloucester, MA/Gloucester) hit a sac-fly to left scoring Santos for the 1-0 lead. Catcher Dan Gomez (East Longmeadow, MA/East Longmeadow) reached on a fielder's choice and the Gulls plated another run following a Hawks error and a base on balls. Following one inning of play the Gulls held a 3-0 lead.

The Gulls struck again in the second inning, scoring three more for a 6-0 advantage. Much like in the first, Fields, Andersen and Gomez all lined hits for the visitors. Sophomore Ryan Scanlon (Lowell, MA/Lowell) connected on an RBI single to score Gomez, giving the Gulls a six run lead.

Endicott scored three more times in the top of the sixth as Santos, Orlando and Gomez all doubled for the visitors. The run support was more than enough for pitcher Ian Parkinson (Peabody, MA/Peabody), as the senior put together another complete game outing. Parkinson hurled nine innings of six hit and 10 strikeout ball for the Gulls en route to the win.

Joe Orlando finished the day 2-for-4 at the dish with four RBI. Both Dan Gomez and Ryan Scanlon also drove in a pair of runs for the visitors.

No rest for the Gulls as the Blue and Green return to action tomorrow afternoon in Newport, RI. Endicott will square-off in a doubleheader with Salve Regina University before returning home on Sunday for a twin bill with Anna Maria College. Endicott completes their nine games in five days stretch on Monday afternoon as the play host to the Fighting Scots of Gordon College. The first pitch of Saturday's doubleheader with the Seahawks is scheduled for 12:00 Noon.
