Sunday Synopsis: Men’s Ice Hockey Keeps Unbeaten Streak Alive (4-0-1)

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men’s ice hockey team pushed its winning streak to four straight games to highlight the week that was for the Gulls from November 16-22.

MEN’S ICE HOCKEY

Endicott defeated Johnson & Wales, 3-2, on Thursday, and Becker, 4-2, on Saturday to claim its fourth consecutive victory while remaining undefeated in its last five contests (4-0-1).

NEED TO KNOW:  Josh Bowes (Sturgeon County, Alberta, Canada) led the Gulls offensively with two goals and one assist, while Kevin Aldridge (Beverly Hills, Mich.) stopped 70 shots over both games.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

The Gulls split games in the Herb Kenny Tip-Off Tournament defeating Clark, 88-72, in the opening round before falling to Lyndon State, 87-81, in the championship game of the tournament.

NEED TO KNOW: Juniors Kamahl Walker (Worcester, Mass.) and Daquan Sampson (Jacksonville, N.C.) were named to the All-Tournament team… Walker registered 54 points, seven assists, and five rebounds in the tournament, while Sampson compiled 27 points, 20 rebounds, and six blocks.

WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY

Endicott went 0-1-1 on the week in two games played against Stevenson University.

NEED TO KNOW: Freshman goaltender Vendela Jonsson (Linkoping, Sweden) recorded 40 saves in two games for the Gulls.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

The Gulls enjoyed an off week from competition.
