Henry, Woods Sweep CCC Weekly Awards

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott women's tennis senior Shelby Henry (Lincoln, Neb.) and freshman Amber Woods (Scarborough, Maine) have garnered Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week accolades, as announced by the league office today.

Henry went 2-0 in singles play this week winning at both No. 2 singles vs Gordon (6-3, 6-2) and No. 4 singles against Nichols (6-0, 6-2). In doubles play, she teamed up with Kaitlin Fitzgibbons (Nashua, N.H.) to win at No. 2 doubles (8-6) in the match against Gordon.

Woods picked up victories in the Gulls 8-1 victory over Gordon at both singles and doubles. At No.3 doubles, she teamed up with Ana Mar Molina (Sachse, Texas) to defeat their opponents 8-2. Then she picked up a win at No. 5 singles (6-3, 6-4) 

This is Henry's second career CCC Player of the Week award and the seventh weekly honor she has received from the conference in her career (five Rookie of the Week accolades). The rookie of the week recognition was the first of Woods' career.
