BEVERLY, Mass., July 29, 2014 – Endicott College, the Endicott Athletics and Recreation Department, and Celebrity Marketing, Inc. is proud to announce that the College’s new ice hockey arena will be named for hockey legend and North Shore community activist Ray Bourque. The Raymond J. Bourque Ice Arena will house the NCAA Division III men’s and women’s Gulls ice hockey programs as well as serve as home to Beverly Youth Hockey, Beverly High School Hockey, and other local sports activities.
BEVERLY, Mass.- Endicott announced on Friday that beginning in the Fall of 2015, the College and athletic department will be promoting both the men’s and women’s ice hockey teams to NCAA Division III varsity status. A search has just begun to hire a full-time coach for each program. To help usher the programs into their inaugural varsity seasons, Endicott will break ground on a first-class ice arena in June of 2014.
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s ice hockey season came to an end this past weekend as they lost in the semifinals of the IWCHL tournament to Westfield State 1-2. In the inaugural season of the IWCHL the Gulls finished in second place with a 10-4 record.
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s club ice hockey team went 1-1 this past weekend against MIT and Westfield State. With the victory over MIT the Gulls clinched the #2 seed in the Independent Women’s Collegiate Hockey League (IWCHL) and is set to face #3 Westfield State in the semifinals on Saturday, February 15th at 7:00 p.m. at Salem State University.
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s club ice hockey team played back to back games this weekend against North Shore rival Salem State. Head Coach, Paul Munzing and the entire team were proud to honor this season’s two seniors, co-captains Jesse Bilafer (Concord, Mass.) and Addie Weeks (Harwichport, Mass.) on Sunday. The Gulls were edged by Salem in both contests but they did not go down without a fight as both goaltenders, freshman MacKenzie Dutton (Andover, Mass.) and junior Gretchen St. Pierre (Colchester, Vt.) combined 82 saves on the weekend.
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s club ice hockey team went 1-1 this past weekend after taking their first loss of the season to Westfield State. In game two against Bates the Gulls took the 3-2 victory with strong efforts from freshman Sierra Cummings (Colchester, Vt.) posting two goals along with strong stops between the pipes for junior goaltender Taylor Witham (Cumberland, Maine). The Gulls move to 7-1 on the season.
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s club ice hockey team extended their winning streak to six after a big 5-4 victory over UMass Lowell on Sunday. Junior goaltender Taylor Witham (Cumberland, Maine) was the backbone of the team in the win as she had 28 big stops in the contest. The Gulls move to 6-0 on the season.
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s club ice hockey team increased their season winning streak to five with two big wins this past weekend. On Saturday the Gulls were hosted by MIT where they edged the Engineers 6-3. The following day the squad was hungry for more goals as they were victorious over the Crimson with a 9-3 final score. The Blue and Green are now 5-0 on the season, which marks their best in their program history.
HANOVER, N.H. – The Endicott women’s club ice hockey team traveled to Dartmouth on Sunday to finish up their weekend of hockey. The night prior the Gulls scrimmaged against Salem State to get prepared for their schedule ahead and it paid off as they shut down the Big Green 3-1. Freshman Katie Saunders (Barrington, R.I.) tallied her first career goal and the game winning goal in the contest. Endicott is continuing their season strong as they earn their third straight victory.
SALEM, Mass. – The Endicott women’s club ice hockey team hosted UMass Lowell on Saturday for the second contest of the season. Senior Jesse Bilafer (Concord, Mass.) tallied three goals in the game while senior Addie Weeks (Hawichport, Mass.) recorded two goals and an assist in the 6-3 victory. The Gulls are now 2-0 on the season.
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s club ice hockey team opened up their 2013-14 season at home this past Saturday afternoon. The Gulls took on the Crimson of Harvard and were able to come out on top with the 2-1 victory. Senior Jesse Bilafer (Concord, Mass.) and freshman Martha Crowley (Castleton, N.Y.) each tallied three points in the contest.
