Maria Hanchuk '23 M'25 enters her first season as an assistant coach with the softball program in 2023-24. Hanchuk works primarily with the pitching staff.

A four-year member of the softball team, Hanchuk appeared in 61 games for the Gulls. She finished with a 41-11 record, pitched 302.2 innings, struck out 338 batters, and compiled a 1.62 ERA alongside a 1.01 WHIP. 

The 2021-22 season was a career year for Hanchuk totaling 130 innings pitched, a 17-6 record, including one save, 169 strikeouts a 1.51 ERA, and a 1.01 WHIP.

Hanchuk’s name is all over the Endicott record books as she ranks first and second in most strikeouts per 7 innings with 9.65 in 2021 and 9.10 in 2022. She recorded the fourth most wins in program history with 17 in 2022 and is second all-time with 169 strikeouts that season. 

While at Endicott, some of her accolades include 2023 All-CCC Second Team, 2022 NFCA All-Region II First Team (P), 2022 CCC Pitcher of the Year, 2022 All-CCC First Team, NFCA Division III All-New England Second Team, 2021 CCC Pitcher of the Year, 2021 All-CCC First Team, and CCC Pitcher of the Week seven times.

Hanchuk is scheduled to complete her Master of Science in sport leadership at Endicott in spring 2025. She earned her Bachelor of Science in marketing communication/advertising from the College in 2023.
