Why Endicott? Why Division III?

Chose Endicott because it gives me the opportunity to play softball in college, which has been a dream of mine since I was young, and to get the best education possible

2017: Appeared in 24 games as a junior... Batted .288 with 15 hits (four doubles, one home run)... Posted a career-high .377 on-base percentage... Made 81 putouts with five assists and three errors in 89 total chances for a .966 fielding percentage... Turned six double plays

2016: Appeared in 37 games with a career-high 112 (second on the team) at-bats as a sophomore... Registered a career-high 28 hits (fifth-most on the team) with five doubles and two home runs... Drove in a career-best 24 runs (second-most on the team)... Walked 11 times (second-most on the team) and scored six runs... Recorded three multi-hit games and strung together a nine-game hit streak from March 15 to March 31... Made 166 putouts with eight assists and just four errors in 178 total chances for a career-high .978 fielding percentage... Turned seven double plays

2015: Appeared in 30 games with 78 at-bats as a freshman... Recorded 23 hits with 10 extra-bse hits (six doubles and four home runs)... First career hit came in the team's 5-4 loss toWis.-Stout on 03/15/15... Registered five multi-hit games... Strung together a five-game hit streak from April 13 to April 15... Drove in 15 runs and scored seven runs... Walked seven times and posted a .353 on-base percentage and .526 slugging percentage... Made 18 putouts with 33 assists and eight errors in 59 total chances and turned one double play to post a .864 fielding percentage

Professional Aspirations

Interned last winter with Barwis Methods assisting with scheduling... Worked over the summer for the St. Lucie Mets... With an interest in professional baseball, she aspires to obtain a career at NESN, ESPN, or MLB Network... In 10 years, she hopes to be working for a professional sports team, starting a family, and hopefully watching her little brother play in the big leagues

Margaret on her internship experience:

"Barwis Methods is a training facility for Pro-Athletes.  During my internship at Barwis, the New York Mets were in the middle of their Pre-Season workouts.  This internship has helped me determine that I want to focus on Major League Baseball. Being involved with Barwis Methods & the New York Mets has assured me that I chose the right major to study. I enjoyed every minute of my internship."

Clubs and Organizations

Played travel softball with Treasure Coast Fury, Cruisers Fastpitch, Chobee Athletics, and Treasure Coast Strikeforce... Involved with the Sport Management Club on campus

Community Service

As a member of the softball team, she has participated in many community service projects... In high school, she volunteered at Indian Hills Junior Golf Camp where she assisted the directors in teaching a young group of golfers how to correctly approach the game of golf

Margaret on her favorite community service project and why she enjoys volunteering:

"My favorite activity was the walk around Beverly. I always try to get involved with community service projects helping those affected by cancer.  My grandpa passed away from cancer, so there is a special place in my heart for those who are dealing with this sickness and their families."

Fun Facts

Can bust out some tunes on the piano... Her father, Greg Martzolf, played golf at the University of New Orleans... Her cousin, AJ Schneller, currently plays golf at Loyola University... Her cousin, Connor O'Hare, plays baseball at Cal Poly
