BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men’s volleyball team defeated No. 13 nationally ranked MIT, 3-2, by scores of 25-16, 28-26, 10-25, 26-28, and 16-14 on Saturday evening to highlight the week (Jan. 25-31) that was for the Gulls.
In the fifth set, Endicott erased an early 5-4 deficit with a 6-2 run that was highlighted by a pair of kills from Troy Riorden (Fairport, N.Y.) and a service ace via freshman Jeremy Doski (Sandy Hook, Conn.). MIT eventually evened the score at 14-14, but Ryan Sutherland (Fairport, N.Y.) took over when it counted most using a kill and a service ace to win the match for the Gulls.
NEED TO KNOW: Endicott’s match versus MIT featured 45 tie scores and 14 lead changes… the Gulls went 2-1 on the week.

WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY
Endicott earned a pair of conference victories over SUNY Canton this weekend to claim sole possession of third place in the Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) standings, for the time being.
