Women's Volleyball Falls To Wentworth, 3-1

BOSTON, Mass.— The Endicott women's volleyball team was defeated by Wentworth, 3-1, by scores of 22-25, 25-21, 18-25, and 23-25 in Commonwealth Coast Conference action (CCC) on Wednesday night inside the Tansey Gymnasium.

Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) led the attack for the Gulls with 17 kills. 

Julia Giroux (Bedford, N.H.) also chipped in with 14 putaways, while Krystina Schueler (Trumbull, Conn.) added 11 kills, respectively.

Savannah Cambell (Sequel, Calif.) facilitated the offense with 43 assists.

Defensively, Lexi Tecun (Hawthorne, Calif.) led a strong backline with a team-high 18 digs. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is now 26-1 all-time against Wentworth.
  • Helenbrook's four service aces tied a season-high.
  • Fourth consecutive match with double-digit block assists (18).
  • Emma Ruel (Duxbury, Mass.) recorded 14 digs giving her 10 or more digs in four of her last five matches.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (9-10, 3-1 CCC) travels to Colby for a tri-match on Saturday, October 21 at 1 and 3:30 PM against Illinois Wesleyan and Colby. Wentworth (16-5, 4-0 CCC) travels to Roger Williams on Saturday, October 21 at 1 PM.
