Women's Volleyball Pushes No. 22 Tufts To The Brink In 3-0 Setback

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team fell to No. 22 Tufts, 3-0, by scores of 26-28, 23-25, and 16-25 on Tuesday night inside MacDonald Gymnasium.

Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) led the team with 14 kills, while Krystina Schueler (Trumbull, Conn.) added 10 putaways in the loss.

Kelsey Sanborn (Londonderry, N.H.) and Stephanie Moreau (Methuen, Mass.) also contributed seven and six finishes (season-high), respectively.

Meanwhile, Savannah Cambell (Sequel, Calif.) facilitated the attack with 36 assists to go along with a team-high nine digs. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Tufts is 14-6 in the all-time series against Endicott, dating back to 2002.
  • The first set featured 17 ties, with the Gulls leading late in the set at 20-18, 21-19, and 26-25.
  • In total, there were 27 ties and 10 lead changes in tonight's match.
  • Helenbrook had a 7-3-11 attack line in set one, which was tied for the match-high among any set for both teams.
  • The Gulls out-hit the visitors in the second set by a .333 (13-2-33) to .289 (16-5-38) margin despite the loss (23-25).
  • Sanborn went 9-for-10 on serve-receive, with six leading to kills (one short of tying the team-high).
  • Amelia Beigel (Amherst, Mass.) collected a season-high eight digs.
