Women's Volleyball Wins 3rd Straight Match

QUINCY, Mass.-  The Endicott Women's Volleyball team was able to win it's third in a row by knocking off Eastern Nazarene 3-0.  With the win, the Gulls now improve to 1-2 in conference play and 5-9 overall on the season. 

Freshman Lexi Watts (San Diego, Calif.) enjoyed the best match of her young career as she dominated at the net.  Watts hit for an astounding .409 average in knocking down 12 kills on 22 swings with only three errors.  The right side was also able to serve up three aces and pick up three digs in the win.

Fellow freshman Jackie Cone (Salem, N.H.) was also on her A-game as she was able to notch five kills in just two sets played.  Reigning CCC Rookie of the Week Mackenzie Guerre (Carlsbad, Calif) continued her hot streak as the middle tallied nine kills, four aces, two digs and two blocks.  Joining her in the weekly honors was CCC Libero of the Week Ashley Norley who continued to rack up the digs in collecting 13 more in the three sets.  Callie Dolan (Westford, Mass.) also chipped in 11 kills for the victors.  Alleigh VandeMerkt (Riverside, Ill.) averaged over 10 assists per set by collecting 32 assists.

For the Lions, Cayla Clinksdale (Winchendon, Mass.) made her presence known as the junior registered six kills on 11 attacks without an error.  Kori Sorenson (Quincy, Mass.) picked up 13 digs to match Norley for the match high and Birdina Tuiava (Colorado Springs, Colo.) tallied 14 assists.

The Gulls are now off until Saturday when they host Salve Regina at 2 p.m. as part of the homecoming festivities.  The Lions have a quick turnaround as travel to Emmanuel on Thursday to face the Saints at 7 p.m.
