4x400m, 4x800m Relays Shine On Day Two At New England Regionals

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. — The Endicott women's track and field team concluded competition at the NCAA Division III New England Championship on Saturday evening with two standout relay performances.

The 4x800m relay consisting of Brianna am Ende (East Lyme, Conn.), Allie Devoe (Ridgefield, Conn.), Hannah Shepard (Keene, N.H.), and Hannah Risko (Albany, N.Y.) became the first relay team in program history to earn All-New England honors at a regional championship, indoors or outdoors.

The quartet placed seventh overall with a school record time of 9:46.77. 

The top-8 finishers in an event receive All-New England honors. 

Less than an hour later, the Gulls' 4x400m relay matched the 4x800m relay squad's historic feat with an eighth place finish.

Colleen McLaughlin (Ipswich, Mass.), Kaylee Whitney (Milford, Mass.), Gabby Peniche (Milford, Mass.), and Julia Maclaine (North Easton, Mass.) posted a school record time of 4:09.35 to earn All-New England accolades.

Maclaine also ranked 23rd in the 400m run (1:00.70), while Risko was 16th in the 1,500m run (4:52.19).

Endicott's 4x100m relay team consisting of Olivia Novello (Ipswich, Mass.), Whitney, Kinneal Dickens (Merrimac, Mass.), and Maclaine finished ninth overall with a season best time of 51.09.

Alexa Suchy (Guilford, Conn.) rounded out the list of highlights with a personal best time of 11:46.46 in the 3,000m steeplechase (10th overall).
