Women’s Track & Field Lauded With CCC Weekly Honors

CCC WEEKLY RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Four members of the Endicott women's track and field team have earned weekly awards for their efforts in last weekend's Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship.

Jordan Williams (Boxford, Mass.) was named the CCC Track Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career, while Nicole D'Angelo (Readfield, Maine) claimed Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second time as a Gull. The duo also joined Hevyn Pray (Rehoboth, Mass.) and Gates MacPherson (Thorold, Ontario) on the Relay Team of the Week.

Last Sunday at the CCC Championship, Williams set a pair of meet records to help Endicott finish a program-best third overall in the meet.

Williams won the 100-meter dash in 12.47 and then took top honors in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.63, both setting new meet bests.

Meanwhile, D'Angelo won two individual medals on Sunday. D'Angelo took gold in the shot put with a meet record of 30-feet and 1-inch and earned a silver in the pole vault, clearing 9-feet and 6.25-inches. Her mark in the pole vault was a school record.

Williams and D'Angelo capped their impressive performances on the day with a first place finish in the 4x100-meter relay alongside Pray and MacPherson. The group bested the rest of the field in the event with a school record time of 51.19.

Endicott's 4x100m relay team (different combinations) has now earned Relay Team of the Week honors a league-best three times this season.
