    BEVERLY, Mass. - When your resume reads two-time captaincy of a NCAA Division III cross country team and a member of roughly 10 different clubs and organizations, most would consider their extracurriculars covered. Well, that is not the case for Abby Keim ’19, who is completing dual degrees in biology and psychology, and has already submitted her medical school applications for next fall.

    Abby Keim '19, a double major in bio/biotechnology and psychology as well as a cross country and track and field student-athlete, has taken advantage of one of the many experiential learning opportunities Endicott offers that has real-world application—collaborative research with faculty. Abby has teamed up with associate professor of psychology, Dr. Alefiya Albers, to investigate how olfactory, or sense of smell, has any correlation to identifying brain health. They are conducting their research at Spaulding Hospital in Boston.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Endicott women’s track and field freshman distance runner Aleah MacKay (Bedford, N.H.) finished 16th overall in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 43:08.00 on Friday night at the NCAA Division III New England Regionals, hosted by MIT.

Field events are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. with track events set to go off around 11:30 a.m.

MacKay was named the CCC Track Rookie of the Week, while the quartet of Sierra Villemaire (Richmond, Vt.), Olivia Folkes (Amston, Conn.), Amanda Recupero (Ipswich, Mass.) and Julia Jankowski (Methuen, Mass.) claimed CCC Relay Team of the Week honors.
