Four First-Teamers Highlight Women's Soccer All-CCC Awards

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team received six Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) all-conference honorees for the 2023 season, including four members of the all-conference first-team.

Senior defender Angelina Venditti (East Lyme, Conn.), junior forward Grace Jewett (Millis, Mass.), junior goalkeeper Rosalina Caliri (East Greenwich, R.I.), and freshman midfielder Callie Neils (Brentwood, N.H.) were named to the first-team. Junior defender Carly Matthews (Suffield, Conn.) was the Gulls' sole member of the second-team, and junior forward Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.) was the lone representative on the third-team.

FIRST TEAM ALL-CCC

Grace Jewett | Jr. | F | Millis, Mass.

Jewett was named All-CCC first-team for the first time in her career. She led the Gulls' offense this season with her team-leading five assists, 17 points, and finished tied for the team-lead with six goals. Jewett led the conference with her five game-winners this season, one of which was the game-winner in the conference championship at Western New England. Jewett appeared in a career-high 21 games for the Gulls this season, starting 17, and consistently proved to be a focal point of the Endicott offense which led the CCC with 45 goals scored.

FIRST TEAM ALL-CCC

Angelina Venditti | Sr. | D | East Lyme, Conn.

For the second season in a row, Angelina Venditti has been named to an all-conference team for her strong defensive play. As one of Endicott's three captains, Venditti led the 2023 Endicott defense which allowed just 0.52 goals per game, fewest in the CCC. Venditti made a career-high in starts and appearances this season, as she started in all 21 games for the Blue and Green, also a team-high. She was one of the main components of a defense that posted 14 shutouts on the year, most in the CCC. Venditti also played the full 90 minutes in 15 games this season, providing plenty of consistency for the top defense in the conference.

FIRST TEAM ALL-CCC

Rosalina Caliri | Jr. | GK | East Greenwich, R.I.

This is Caliri's first career all-conference team in her junior season. She started all 21 games in net for the top dogs of the CCC, posting a record of 13-4-4 overall and 4-0-4 in CCC play. Caliri led the conference in goals against average (0.553), minutes played (1788:51), shutouts (14), shutouts per game (.571), and was second in save percentage (.833). Caliri's 11 shutouts in the regular-season ties her for the program's single-season record (Katie Donnelly, 2012). Her 0.553 goals-against average is also good for third all-time in Endicott's program history (Amy Meuse, 0.24, 2009 | Katie Donnelly, 0.37, 2012). Throughout the season, she was rewarded with CCC Defensive Player of the Week honors twice for her efforts (9/18/23, 10/23/23).

FIRST TEAM ALL-CCC

Callie Neils | Fr. | M | Brentwood, N.H.

Callie Neils was named to the CCC all-conference first-team after her stellar freshman season controlling Endicott's midfield. Neils was a vital component of both the Gulls' offense and defense, constantly making the right decision with her passing and hard-nosed play. Neils scored one goal and dished out three assists on the season. The freshman appeared in all 21 games on the season, starting 20, and played the full 90 minutes on three occasions. Neils' two assists in her collegiate debut propelled the Gulls to a 4-0 victory over Lasell, setting the tone for Endicott's championship season right out of the gate on day one. She netted her first career goal at Wentworth in a 2-0 conference win on the road. Perhaps her brightest moment on the season was her perfectly played through-ball that set up Grace Jewett's game-winning goal in Endicott's championship win at Western New England.

SECOND TEAM ALL-CCC

Carly Matthews | Jr. | D | Suffield, Conn.

This is Carly Matthews' first all-conference team in her career with the Gulls. Matthews was one of Endicott's most reliable players down the stretch of its championship run. She was one of the key defensive stoppers that led the top defense in the CCC, which held opponents to just 0.553 goals per game and posted 14 shutouts on the year. Matthews saw time in all 21 games for the Gulls, starting each of those games from the back line. She also played the full 90 minutes in 11 games, which led the team. Her consistency, hustle and leadership from the backfield turned many hard-fought battles into wins for the Blue and Green.

THIRD TEAM ALL-CCC

Riley Rischitelli | Jr. | F | North Brookfield, Mass.

Rischitelli was named to an all-conference team for the third time in her career in 2023 (2021 All-CCC second-team | 2022 All-CCC second-team). Rischitelli tied for the team-lead in goals and seventh in the CCC with six tallies on the year. She recorded her first two career multi-goal games of the season in Endicott's wins against Salem State (9-1, 10/3) and Curry (CCC Quarterfinals, 3-0, 10/28). She also dished out two assists and notched two game-winners on the year, an all-around offensive threat for the CCC's top offense.
