CCC CHAMPIONSHIP: Women's Soccer Travels To Western New England For Shot At Title On Saturday

BEVERLY, Mass. — The third-seeded Endicott women's soccer team (12-4-4) will travel to No. 1 seed Western New England (10-4-3) on Saturday, November 4 for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship. The match is slated for a 2 PM kickoff at Suprenant Field.

The Gulls advance to the CCC Championship after their 4-0 shutout win over seventh-seeded Suffolk on Wednesday night.

Western New England punched its ticket to the CCC Championship following a 4-0 defeat of fourth-seeded Gordon on Wednesday afternoon.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The Golden Bears are the reigning CCC champions, as they bested UNE, 3-0, last season.
  • Endicott has recorded a conference-leading 13 shutouts this fall, holding opponents to a minuscule 0.55 goals per game on the year.
  • The Gulls are ranked third in the NCAA Division III regional rankings, while Western New England is ranked fifth (as of October 29).
  • Endicott's Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.) and Western New England's Liza Pinette (Acushnet, Mass.) each lead their teams with six goals apiece.
  • This is the first meeting in the CCC Championship between the two programs since 2009 (Endicott, W, 3-1).

WHAT'S NEXT

The winner of Saturday's contest will be crowned the 2023 CCC Women's Soccer Champion and earn the league's automatic qualifier into the 2023 NCAA Division III National Tournament.
