2023 Women's Soccer Season Preview; Gulls Chosen Second In CCC Preseason Poll

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's soccer team begins its 2023 campaign at home this Friday against Lasell at 4 PM. Here's a preview of the upcoming season.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The Gulls enter the season projected to finish second in the league, via the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) preseason coaches' poll
  • Seniors Angelina Venditti (East Lyme, Conn.) and Linda St. Laurent (Brooklyn, Conn.), and junior Carly Matthews (Suffield, Conn.) were chosen as the captains for the 2023 campaign
  • Endicott returns the bulk of its defensive unit from last season that only allowed 0.82 goals per game, tops in the conference
  • The Blue and Green will face four teams that earned a spot in last year's NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament.
  • Endicott's first half schedule features six home matches including three straight to end the month of September.
