Pernice Named CCC Offensive Player of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - After helping to lead the Gulls to a 2-0 week that included a 3-0 win over Salve Regina in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Quarterfinals, sophomore midfielder Sharlotte Pernice (West Springfield, Mass.) has been named Offensive Player of the Week as was announced by the conference office on Monday. 

The first win on the week was a 2-0 win on the road against cross-town rival Gordon that wrapped up the #3 seed in the CCC Women's Soccer Tournament for the Gulls. The second was the 3-0 win in the Quarterfinals that ensured Endicott would return to the CCC Semifinals.

SHARLOTTE PERNICE | SOPHOMORE | MIDFIELD | WEST SPRINGFIELD, MASS.

Pernice posted two goals in the team's 3-0 win over Salve Regina to seal the victory for the Gulls. Her first, at the 22:03 mark of the first half, came off a free kick just outside the box. Pernice then scored at the 24:11 mark to give her 10 goals on the season. The strike came from 25 yards out and gives her 25 points to date on the campaign. 

Pernice and the Gullsnow travel to Boston for the Semifinals at Wentworth on Tuesday night. The match is slated for a 6:00 p.m. start.
