Box Score

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College scored three goals in both the first and second halves, as the Gulls routed TCCC and North Shore rival Gordon College, 6-0, on Tuesday night in Beverly, Mass. The victory extends Endicott’s winning-streak to five games, and improves the Gulls’ record to 5-3 (3-0 TCCC). The Fighting Scots fall below .500 to 3-4 and suffer their first league-loss of the season (2-1 TCCC).

\#Caitlin Flynn\# (Southold, N.Y.) continued her hot streak as she put the Gulls on the board in the 14th minute, capitalizing on a broken play off the left side. Flynn unleashed a shot that caromed off the post and wound up in the back of the net for the early 1-0 lead.

\#Christine Silva\# (Stoneham, Mass.) doubled the Endicott advantage in the 33rd minute as she notched the first goal of her collegiate career. Silva took a crossing feed from senior \#Allyson Bellemore\# (Manchester, N.H.) and buried a shot from 10-yards out to put the Gulls up 2-0.

Flynn scored her second the night just 11 minutes later when she took a beautiful long-range pass from junior \#Sarah Johnson\# (Harrisville, R.I.) and charged in all alone on the breakaway. Flynn beat Gordon goalkeeper Abby Ytzen (Des Moines, Iowa) with a nifty shot that lofted over the outstretched senior to make it 3-0 at the intermission.

The second half was much of the same for the Gulls as the Blue and Green kept their foot on the pedal. Endicott scored three goals in a span of 3:35 to put the game away. \#Katy Hasek\# (Burlington, Mass.) got her third of the season as she collected a loose ball in front of the Gordon net and pounded home the rebound. \#Sarah Johnson\# then scored just 1:32 later as she beat Ytzen off the left side. The Gulls rounded out the scoring attack with \#Alexandra Sutter\#’s (Waterbury, Conn.) first collegiate goal off a crossing feed from \#Caitlin Flynn\#.

Flynn led all scorers with two goals and an assist. Sophomore goalkeeper \#Elise Berry\# (Londonderry, N.H.) earned her fourth-straight shutout with a five save effort. Her best stop of the night came with 13:09 remaining in the second half as she punched away a 15-yard bid by Christin Peters (Feeding Hills, Mass.), preserving the clean slate.

The Gulls put their winning-streak on the line on Saturday afternoon when they head north to face the University of New England at 4:00 p.m. in Biddeford, Maine. Gordon looks to regroup against non-conference Brandeis on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
