Beverly, MA - The Gulls played their final regular season home game today against conference foe Salve Regina University, and came away with their fifth conference win. The Gulls had a commanding 9-1 lead going into the half, and held the visitors to just four goals in the contest, to finish the game with an impressive 13-4 victory.
Four different players scored for Endicott as they jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the opening minutes. Christine Wilmott (Jr/Barre, VT) recorded four goals for the Gulls in the first thirty minutes, Cathy Sharp (So/Rutland, VT) and Katie White (Sr/Ridgefield, CT) each found the back of the net twice in the first half for the Gulls, and Lindsey O'Connell (Fr/Mansfield, MA) put one in off one of White's two assists.
EC's Katie Tavella (So/Madison, CT) allowed just one first half goal from six shots by Salve attackers.
O'Connell picked up two more goals in the second half. Rounding out Gulls' scoring were Lauren Gibbons (So/Shaker Heights, OH) who added one goal to her three assists for the day, and Jess Blair (Jr/Middlebury, VT) with one goal also.
EC's second half goalkeeping was handled by Erin Curry (Fr/Hampstead, NH). Curry made eight saves between the pipes for the Gulls in the win.
The Gulls await final conference seeeding as they head into next week's first round of the conference tournament. The Gulls will play on Tuesday; the site, time, and opponent will be determined after Sunday's games.
