Burwell and Hall Named To NEWHA Division III Women's All-Star Team

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott senior defensemen Jess Burwell (Hooksett, N.H.) and sophomore forward Teaghan Hall (West Springfield, Mass.) have been selected to the New England Hockey Writers Association (NEWHA) Division III Women's All-Star Team for the first time in their career, as announced by the organization.

Burwell and Hall represent the eighth and ninth student-athletes in program history to earn NEWHA honors.

Playing in all 26 games this season, Burwell scored one goal and recorded nine assists for 10 points. She finished the season with a +12 plus/minus rating.

The senior was part of a defensive unit that ranked 13th in Division III in scoring defense and 1st in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), only allowing 1.35 goals per game. The defense also racked up seven shutouts during the season.

Hall set new career highs in goals, assists, and points this season as she scored 12 goals and had 12 assists for 24 points. Her +26 plus/minus rating ranked atop the CCC.

The sophomore's other CCC ranks include: goals (3rd), assists (6th), points (5th), and game-winning goals (5th).

Hall was named the CCC Player of the Year and along with Burwell was named to the All-CCC first team. The West Springfield native was also named a finalist for the 2024 Laura Hurd Award. 

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott went 18-5-3 overall and 15-2-1 in conference play. During the season, Endicott reached as high as No. 11 in the USCHO poll. The Gulls fell in the CCC Semifinals, 1-0 to Curry.
