Hall Headlines Women's Ice Hockey All-CCC Honorees

BEVERLY, Mass. – Four members of the Endicott women's ice hockey team have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) postseason honors, as announced by the league earlier today.

Teaghan Hall (West Springfield, Mass.) highlighted the group by claiming CCC Co-Player of the Year honors in addition to All-CCC First Team accolades.

Hall is now the second student-athlete in program history to be named CCC Player of the Year joining Jade Meier '20 (Fairbanks, Alaska) on the list.

Jess Burwell (Hooksett, N.H.) and Rivers Morris (Braintree, Mass.) also were selected to the All-CCC First Team, while Samantha Fantasia (Billerica, Mass.) was chosen to the All-CCC Second Team.


TEAGHAN HALL | SO. | F

Hall compiled 12 goals (1 PP, 1 SH, 3 GWG, 1 EN) and 12 assists for 24 points this season (26 games played).

In a four-game stretch for the Gulls from January 19 to 27, the sophomore recorded four goals and two assists against Salve Regina and Curry.

She finished the year with a plus-26 rating which led the team and ranked first in the CCC.

Hall's other CCC ranks include the following categories/statistics: goals (4th), assists (8th), points (4th), goals per game (4th), points per game (4th), and game-winning goals (5th).

This is Hall's first career Player of the Year and All-Conference selection.


JESS BURWELL | SR. | D

In 26 games played, Burwell scored one goal and dished out nine assists to go along with a plus-12 rating (t-7th in CCC)

Burwell's play aided the Gulls to a league-best goals against average of 1.35 (also first in conference-only games at 1.28). Out of 60 teams in NCAA Division III, Endicott ranked 14th in scoring defense.

Only four defensemen were selected among the All-CCC First and Second Teams (two per team).

This is Burwell's second career All-Conference selection, as she was named to the All-Conference Second Team in 2021-22.


RIVERS MORRIS | JR. | F

In her first season for the Gulls, Morris scored 11 goals and added 14 assists for 25 points. She also finished the year with a plus-21 rating.

The junior recorded a seven-game point streak in which she compiled six goals and five assists. Endicott went 5-0-2 during that stretch.

Her CCC ranks include the following categories/stats: goals (6th), assists (3rd), points (3rd), goals per game (5th), assists per game (4th), points per game (3rd), and +/- (3rd).

This is Morris' first career All-Conference selection.


SAMANTHA FANTASIA | JR. | F

Fantasia's junior campaign saw her score 10 goals (1 PP and 4 GWG) and 11 assists for 21 points and a plus-21 rating.

Two of her game-winning goals came in one-goal games against Wesleyan on 12/2 and versus Western New England on 2/2.

Her CCC ranks include the following categories/stats: goals (10th), points (8th), goals per game (9th), points per game (9th), game-winning goals (4th), and +/- (4th). With four game-winning goals, the Billerica, Mass. native ranked 11th in the NCAA.

This is her second career All-Conference honor as she was named to the All-CCC First Team last season. As a freshman, Fantasia was named Rookie of the Year in 2021-22.


YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott went 18-5-3 overall and 15-3-2 in conference play in 2023-24. The Gulls fell to Curry in the CCC Semifinals, 1-0.
