No. 11 Women's Ice Hockey Ties Curry, 2-2

CANTON, Mass. — The No. 11 nationally ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team tied Curry College by a score of 2-2 on Saturday afternoon at Canton Ice House in the final game of Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) regular season play.

After trailing 2-0 in the third period, Endicott responded with two goals five minutes apart to send the game to overtine.

Teaghan Hall (West Springfield, Mass.) tallied a shorthanded goal after she stole the puck from a Colonels defender and buried it to cut the deficit in half at the 14:49 mark.

Then with the goalie pulled and less then 30 seconds to play, Rivers Morris (Braintree, Mass.) tied the game off feeds from Hall and Jenna Seibold (Reading, Mass.).

In overtime, both teams squandered opportunities that led to a shoot-out.

In net, Celia Dahl (Orono, Minn.) made 31 saves in the tie as her record goes to 1-0-1.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is now 9-0-1 all-time versus Curry.
  • First shorthanded goal of Hall's career.
  • The Gulls 15 conference wins are tied for second in program history.
  • Emmerson Hayes (Los Angeles, Calif.) led the Gulls with 10 faceoff wins.

WHAT'S NEXT

No. 11 Endicott (18-4-3, 15-2-1 CCC) has secured the No. 1 seed in the CCC Tournament and will host a semifinal game on Saturday February, 24 with a time and opponenet to be determined.
