No. 11 Women’s Ice Hockey Bests Nichols On Senior Day, 7-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 11 Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Nichols, 7-0, on Friday night in conference action at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Prior to puck drop, seniors Sami Barletta (Walpole, Mass.), Jess Burwell (Hooksett, N.H.), Aurora Devereaux (Scituate, Mass.), Emmerson Hayes (Los Angeles, Calif.), Quin Healy (Melrose, Mass.), Melissa Macri (Plymouth, Mass.), and Jenna Seibold (Reading, Mass.) were all honored for their contributions to the women's ice hockey program and the College in a pregame ceremony.

Endicott erupted for four goals in the first period and never looked back.

Maggie Lynch (Quincy, Mass.), Samantha Fantasia (Billerica, Mass.), Cammi Ahern (Oswego, N.Y.), and Healy all found their names on the ledger for the Gulls (8:14 | 12:51 | 15:12 | PP — 17:57).

Lynch and Hayes both scored in the second period (PP — 4:45 | 11:55), while Hayes netted the final tally in the third at 13:25.

In goal, Casey Moritz (Trophy Club, Texas) stopped 12 shots in two periods of play (4-8) to improve to 16-4-2 on the season. 

Emma Budke (Rye, N.Y.) closed out the third period with seven saves.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are 18-3-1 all-time against Nichols.
  • Endicott is 9-1-1 at home this season.
  • Lynch notched her first career multi-goal game.
  • Fantasia and Lynch tied the single-game program record for points (1g, 3a | 2g, 2a).
  • Fantasia also tied the single-game program record for assists.
  • The program record for goals in a single game is eight (W, 8-0, Nichols, 3/12/21 | W, 8-0, Curry, CCC Semifinals, 2/26/22).
  • Endicott registered its seventh shutout of the season.

No. 11 Endicott (18-4-2, 15-2-0 CCC) visits Curry tomorrow at 3 PM. Nichols (7-17-0, 1-16-0 CCC) hosts Salve Regina tomorrow at 4:40 PM.
