No. 14 Women’s Ice Hockey Bests Salve Regina, 5-1

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 14 Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Salve Regina, 5-1, in conference action on Saturday evening at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Teaghan Hall (West Springfield, Mass.), Lily Anderson (St. Paul, Minn.), Emmerson Hayes (Los Angeles, Calif.), Rivers Morris (Braintree, Mass.), and Quin Healy (Melrose, Mass.) all scored in the victory.  

Hall and Anderson buried tallies in the first (2:35, 5:12), while Hayes (1:53) and Morris (4:21) both found the back of the net in the second.

Healy rounded out the scoring for the Gulls just 38-seconds into the third period.

In goal, Casey Moritz (Trophy Club, Texas) made 17 saves (7-5-5) to improve to 11-4-2 on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Hall finished the matchup with a game-high three points (1g, 2a | 4th multi-point game this season).
  • Tara Henshaw (Babylon, N.Y.) dished out two helpers (second career multi-point game, first career game with at least two assists).
  • Endicott is 18-1-2 in the all-time series against Salve Regina (11-0-0 at home).

No. 14 Endicott (12-4-2, 9-2-0 CCC) visits Curry on Friday, January 26 at 7 PM. Salve Regina (8-7-3, 5-5-1 CCC) hosts Nichols on Thursday, January 25 at 7:45 PM.
