BIDDEFORD, Maine — The No. 14 Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated the University of New England (UNE), 4-0, in conference action on Friday night at the Harold Alfond Forum.
Endicott opened the scoring early as Rivers Morris (Braintree, Mass.) potted a loose puck in front of the crease just 8:36 into the matchup for her sixth of the season.
Quin Healy (Melrose, Mass.) made it 2-0 right as time expired in the period when she punched home a second chance opportunity at the doorstep.
The Gulls tacked on two more in the second via Jenna Seibold (Reading, Mass.) and Payton Hansen (Spring City, Pa.) at 8:20 and 13:04, respectively. Both goals were scored through screens around the left faceoff dot.
On the other end, Casey Moritz (Trophy Club, Texas) finished off the shutout with 23 saves to improve to 8-4-2 overall.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Tonight's victory was the 150th win in program history.
- The Gulls are 13-3-0 in the all-time series.
- Morris has scored in three straight games (four goals total).
