Women's Ice Hockey Upends Suffolk, 6-2

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Suffolk, 6-2, in conference action on Friday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Endicott jumped out to a 1-0 lead thanks to an Ava Schmidt (St. Cloud, Minn.) goal before the Rams tied it up. The Gulls would respond with two of their own as Teaghan Hall (West Springfield, Mass.) and Mackenzie Graham scored just under three minutes apart to lead 3-1 going to the second intermission.

In the second, Emmerson Hayes (Los Angeles, Calif.) opened up the scoring as Cammi Ahern (Oswego, N.Y.) followed scoring on the power play to make it 5-1. After a second Sufflok goal, Hayes scored her second of the night as the Gulls led 6-2. Both defenses were solid in the third to hold the teams off the scoreboard.

In goal, Casey Moritz (Trophy Club, Texas.) stopped 28 shots to improve to 4-2-0 on the season. Celia Dahl (Orono, Minn.) came in relief in the third period and made two saves, the first of her career.
