No. 15 Women’s Ice Hockey Turns Away Nichols, 3-1 

HARRISVILLE, R.I. — The No. 15 nationally ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Nichols, 3-1, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday night at Levy Rink. 

The Gulls earned an early advantage 4:19 into the contest as Rivers Morris (Braintree, Mass.) buried a feed from Teaghan Hall (West Springfield, Mass.) to jumpstart the visitors.

Endicott extended its lead with a tally from Hall in the second period (14:40) before a Nichols goal at 18:11 cut the deficit in half just before the third period.

In the final stanza, Maggie Lynch (Quincy, Mass.) put the game away with her second career goal at the 18:19 mark. 

In goal, Samantha Jaworski (Aspen, Colo.) stopped 21 shots in her season debut to improve to 1-0-0 this season (first career victory).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are 8-1-0 on the road against Nichols all-time.
  • Morris tallied her first career goal.
  • Emmerson Hayes (Los Angeles, Calif.) produced a game-high 12 face-off wins.
  • Payton Hansen (Spring City, Pa.) blocked a team-high three shots.

No. 15 Endicott (3-1-0, 1-1-0 CCC) hosts Western New England Friday, November 10 at 7:00 PM. Nichols (3-1-0, 1-1-0 CCC) welcomes Suffolk to Levy Rink on Friday at 5:40 PM.
