McPhee Tabbed As CCM/AHCA NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Coach Of The Year Award Finalist

CCM/AHCA COACH OF THE YEAR FINALISTS RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott women's ice hockey head coach, Andrew McPhee, was named a finalist for the CCM/AHCA NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Coach of the Year Award, as announced by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA). He was also named a finalist for the award during the 2016-17 season. 

McPhee is in his fifth year of coaching the Endicott women's ice hockey team (four years varsity, one year club) and led the Gulls to a 9-2-1 conference record this season, the No. 1 seed in the Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) tournament, and the program's first-ever CHC Championship title. In the past four years as a varsity program, the Gulls are 74-22-11 (.743) overall with McPhee at the helm. 

In order to be considered a finalist for the CCM/AHCA NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Coach of the Year Award, the coach must be named Coach of the Year at the conference level or advance to the national championship semifinals. The winner will be announced during the student-athlete banquet at the NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Championship held at the University of St. Thomas on Thursday, March 14.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Gulls (19-5-4, 9-2-1 CHC) finished the 2018-19 season as CHC Tournament Champions and made their first-ever NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Tournament appearance where they fell 3-2 in overtime to Plattsburgh State.
