Softball Falls At No. 16 Tufts, 6-0

MEDFORD, Mass. — The Endicott softball team fell to No. 16 nationally ranked Tufts University on Wednesday afternoon at Spicer Field.

WP (8-3): Sophia DiCocco (Bozrah, Conn.) — 7.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 K
LP (5-2): Jaylin Couto (Taunton, Mass.) — 3.0 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 0 K

The Endicott bats were held down by dominant Tufts pitching throughout the game, as DiCocco went the distance for the Jumbos.

They jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning and didn't look back.

Paige Berdos (Plainville, Mass.) was the lone Gull to record a hit in the contest, as she drilled a single through the left side of the infield in the third inning.

  • Endicott falls to 5-19 all-time against the Jumbos.
  • Berdos extended her hitting streak to three with her base hit in the third.
  • Couto features an ERA of 1.40 following today's contest.
