Title: Volunteer Assistant Coach

Brian Wightman '23 M'24 enters his first season as an assistant coach with the men's volleyball program in 2023-24.

Wightman joins the staff after following a standout career with the Gulls' program from 2020-23.

The defensive specialist played in 147 sets logging over 850 receptions from the back row.

Wightman also earned three Academic All-Conference honors.

As a team, the Gulls posted a 54-24 overall record (.692) and a perfect 23-0 mark in conference play. Endicott captured two New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championships, appeared in three NECC Championships, and made two trips to the NCAA Tournament.

Outside of volleyball, Wightman was named to the Dean's List seven times out of eight semesters at Endicott, was a DECA national contestant, president of the sport management club, and a peer note taker

He completed volunteer work with The Hidden Opponent, See the Good 5k, and Waves of Impact.

Wightman's senior thesis was titled: "Name Image and Likeness: Impact on Non-Revenue Athletes".

He also had his COVID-19 Seating Protocols for Allegiant Stadium for the Mountain West Conference published.

His internships at Endicott included time with the UNLV Athletics Department, McDonald Carano (legal courier), and the International Volleyball Hall Of Fame (marketing).

Wightman currently serves as a graduate assistant in Endicott's Internship and Career Center.

Wightman earned his Bachelor of Science in sport management from the College in 2023. 

He is expected to obtain his MBA (finance) from Endicott in 2024.
