Men’s Volleyball Completes Senior Day Sweep Of SUNY Poly, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated SUNY Poly, 3-0, by scores of 25-20, 25-21, and 26-24 on Saturday evening at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Prior to the match, Gavin Emenaker (Newton, Mass.), Corey Klass Jr. (Beverly, Mass.), Aidan Napoli (Henderson, Nev.), Logan Pohl (Longmeadow, Mass.), and Dean Warner (Kinderhook, N.Y.) were all honored for their contributions to the program and the College as part of a Senior Day ceremony.

Klass Jr. highlighted the Senior Day festivities with a career-high-tying nine kills and four block assists.

Warner matched his teammate with nine putaways, while Napoli dished out a team-best 20 assists (.476).

Pohl also contributed four kills, one service ace, and four blocks (one solo).

Emenaker rounded out the senior class with 14 assists (.412) and two service aces.

Today's match featured 21 ties (8-3-10) and seven lead changes (3-1-3).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 7-0 all-time against SUNY Poly (five sweeps).
  • The Gulls are 6-2 at home this season.
  • SUNY Poly fell to 8-8 on the road with the loss.
  • Adin Jepsky (San Jose, Calif.) went 18-for-18 on serve-receive (two digs, 12 receptions led to kills).

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (12-11, 5-2 NEVC) will host Sage in the NEVC Quarterfinals on Tuesday, April 9 at 7 PM. SUNY Poly (13-15, 4-3 NEVC) welcomes SUNY Potsdam to its campus for an NEVC Quarterfinal matchup next Tuesday at 6 PM.
