Men’s Volleyball Blanks Elms On The Road, 3-0

CHICOPEE, Mass. — The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Elms College, 3-0, on Tuesday night by scores of 25-16, 25-21, and 25-23 in non-conference action at Picknelly Arena.

Jake Laborde (Brookline, N.H.) and Alexei Kraytman (Waltham, Mass.) tied for the team-high in kills with six apiece.

In total, 12 student-athletes registered at least one putaway in the match.

Gavin Emenaker (Newton, Mass.), Matty Tiernan (Hopkinton, R.I.), and Aidan Napoli (Henderson, Nev.) split setting duties for the Gulls' attack that hit .212 on the night. 

Emenaker recorded nine of his 11 assists in the first, Tiernan had nine helpers in the middle frame, and Napoli notched a team-best 16 assists in the clincher.

Tonight's contest featured 16 ties (1-14-1) and just three lead changes (0-2-1).

Endicott controlled play in the first and second sets before erasing two separate 7-point deficits in the third (13-6, 14-7) to lock up the shutout.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 39-5 all-time against Elms (winners of six straight).
  • Kraytman compiled a career-high six kills.
  • Elms is 1-6 at home this season.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (6-7) visits Sage on Friday, March 1 at 7 PM. Elms (3-12) hosts Rivier for a pair of matches this Saturday at 11 AM/1 PM.
