Men’s Volleyball Sweeps Regis, 3-0

WESTON, Mass. — The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Regis, 3-0, on Tuesday night by scores of 25-18, 25-20, and 25-22 at Higgins Court.

Jake Laborde (Brookline, N.H.) led the Gulls with 11 kills (.258).

Corey Klass Jr. (Beverly, Mass.) compiled eight kills on 15 swings (.333), while Logan Pohl (Longmeadow, Mass.) had four kills and a block assist to highlight the rest of the offense.

Gavin Emenaker (Newton, Mass.) and Aidan Napoli (Henderson, Nev.) orchestrated the attack via 16 (.390, 41 attempts) and six assists (.500, 12 attempts), respectively.

Tonight's match featured eight ties (2-2-4) and six lead changes (2-2-2).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 21-1 all-time against Regis (winners of six straight, five shutouts in a row).
  • The Gulls were the first to 15 points in all three sets (15-10; 15-11; 15-13).
  • Leading 21-19 in set two, Endicott used a 4-1 run to take a 2-0 advantage in the match (Laborde kill, service ace, Klass Jr. kill, Regis attack error).
  • In the third set, the Gulls outscored the Pride 3-2 down the stretch following their narrow 22-20 lead to clinch the match (Klass Jr. kill, M. Mallory kill, Laborde kill).

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (5-4) hosts No. 4 Springfield on Friday, February 9 at 7 PM. Regis (3-4) takes on Sage (12 PM) and Houghton (2 PM) in Albany, New York this Saturday.
