Lasell Downs Men’s Volleyball, 3-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Endicott men's volleyball team lost to Lasell, 3-0, on Friday night by scores of 21-25, 17-25, and 21-25 as part of the Hall of Fame Invitational, hosted by Springfield College at Blake Arena.

Lasell is receiving votes in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-20. The Lasers also entered tonight's match fresh off a dominant 3-0 win over regional powerhouse MIT. 

Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) posted a team-high 13 kills alongside six digs.

Dean Warner (Kinderhook, N.Y.) terminated 11 of his 24 swings, while Gavin Emenaker (Newton, Mass.) facilitated the offense via 26 assists.  

Dan Battista (Bethlehem, N.Y.) highlighted the defense with a 10-dig effort.

Tonight's match only featured five ties (2-1-2) and four lead changes (2-0-2).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Battista registered his second career double-digit dig performance.
  • Despite the loss, Endicott is 23-8 all-time against Lasell.
  • The Lasers have won the last three meetings.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (4-3) takes on No. 6 Vassar tomorrow in the final day of the Hall Fame Invitational at 6 PM. Lasell (4-3) plays host No. 7 Springfield tomorrow at 8 PM.
