Sheehan's Game-Winner Leads Men's Soccer Over Wentworth, 2-1

Sheehan's Game-Winner Leads Men's Soccer Over Wentworth, 2-1

BOSTON, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team took down Wentworth by a score of 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

In a 1-1 rainy, defensive game, Aidan Sheehan (Arlington, Mass.) scored the clutch 80th minute game-winner to secure a crucial conference victory for the Gulls.

Sheehan ripped home an upper-right-90 goal from the top right corner of the box after he created separation from his defender with some fancy footwork.

Tiago Frazao (Trumbull, Conn.) netted the Blue and Green's first tally of the day off of an assist from Conor Rooney (Monroe, Conn.) to tie up the score in the 12th minute, less than six minutes after Wentworth opened up the scoring in the contest.

In goal, Kyle Rosa (Norton, Mass.) was solid once again, as he saved three Leopard shots on the afternoon and recorded a shutout second half.

  • After the win, the Gulls improved to 18-9-2 in the all-time series against the Leopards.
  • Frazao is currently tied for second in scoring and points in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) with his six goals and two assists.
