CCC CHAMPIONSHIP: No. 1 Endicott Hosts No. 2 Western New England In Championship Rematch (5/4, 1 PM)

BEVERLY, Mass. — Top-seeded Endicott (15-1) and second-seeded Western New England (11-6) will clash for the 11th consecutive time in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship game at Hempstead Stadium this Saturday at 1 PM. Here's a preview of the storied championship rivalry. 

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The Golden Bears hold an 18-14 advantage over the Gulls in the all-time series.

  • Endicott defeated Western New England, 15-12, in the regular season on 3/27/24 in Springfield, Mass.

  • Endicott's national ranks include 2nd in ground balls per game with 47.25, 7th in scoring offense with 17.38 goals per game, and 6th in face-off winning percentage at 68%. Thomas Barker (Needham, Mass.) is second at the Division III level in ground balls per game with 13.25.

  • On offense, Western New England is led by Dylan Hanley who ranks #1 in the CCC and #4 nationally in assists per game with 3.5. 

  • The Gulls are 7-1 at The Nest, while the Golden Bears are 4-4 on the road this season. 

  • Western New England holds a 7-3 advantage over Endicott in their last 10 championship meetings, and an 9-4 record versus the Gulls overall in the league title game.

The winner of Saturday's championship contest will earn the CCC's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament.
