Lally Named ECAC Player of the Year

June 10, 2005

Endicott College men's lacrosse player Kevin Lally has been named the 2005 ECAC Division III New England Player of the Year. The junior midfielder helped lead the Gulls to a school record breaking 15-4 season, their second straight Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship, and a trip to the NCAA tournament.

The Derry, NH native was also selected as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Year and earned CCC First Team All-Conference honors. Lally not only led the team with 95 points this season (21 goals, 74 assists), but his 95 point total (5.00 per game) and his 74 assist total (3.89 per game) were a season best among all 2005 NCAA Division III players.

"Being recognized by the CCC and the ECAC is a tribute to Kevin's hard work as a student-athlete," head coach Sean Quirk said. "All year long he made his teammates better."

Senior attackman Burt Fahy, sophomore defender Patrick Gaffney, and junior goaltender Ryan Walsh were all selected to the ECAC New England Second Team.
