BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott student-athlete Frank Mahoney (Braintree, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Mahoney won the one-day UNE Invitational on Monday behind an even par round (34-35, 69) at the Cape Arundel Golf Club.
He tied teammate Brady Burke (Bedford, N.H.) for first place overall but was credited with medalist honors for winning a scorecard tiebreaker.
As a team, Endicott produced a tournament record score of 282 top to the field by more than 25 strokes. The Gulls are the only team ever to shoot in the 280s in the 22-year history of the tournament.
