Bruns, Lehouiller Earn CCC Weekly Honors

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott field hockey student-athletes Lindsay Bruns (Belfast, Maine) and Meghan Lehouiller (Colchester, Vt.) have received Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Bruns was named the CCC Offensive Player of the Week, while Lehouiller garnered CCC Defensive Player of the Week accolades, respectively.

In a 2-0 week for the Gulls, Bruns scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over CCC opponent, Western New England in the second quarter. This was her second game-winning goal of the season. She also recorded two shots in Endicott's 1-0 win over regionally ranked opponent, Johnson & Wales.

During Endicott's 2-0 week, Lehouiller anchored the defense by shutting out both Western New England and regionally ranked opponent, Johnson & Wales. Combined the Gulls allowed just 16 total shots (eight on goal) and seven corners in a pair of 1-0 victories. The defensive unit held Johnson & Wales to season lows in shots (eight), shots on goal (five), and penalty corners (four). Lehouiller recorded two shots in the win over CCC opponent, Western New England, and was instrumental in keeping Western New England off the scoreboard to secure conference victory.

This is Bruns' first career CCC Offensive Player of the Week award and Lehouiller's second career CCC weekly honor (9/19/22).
