Final Stats

BEVERLY, MA - Caitlin Murray (Templeton, MA/Gardner) led the Gulls to a 4-0 shut out against victory over the University of New England on homecoming.

It only took Murray 47-seconds to work her magic as she netted a pass from Jen Rheaume (Blackstone, MA/Blackstone-Millville Regional) slipping the ball inside the left post and by UNE goalkeeper, Dory Mercer.

Rheaume would tally the second goal of the game at the 27:21 mark, as she redirected a shot from sophomore Michelle Berard (Ashland, MA/Ashland). Murray would set up the third goal of the half as she found teammate Lindsey Fallon, for Fallon's eleventh goal of the season.

The Nor'easters were able to get nine shots off in the first half, but were unable to break EC's goalkeeper Erin Curry (Hampstead, NH/Gould Academy) who posted six saves in the first half and two saves in the second. Curry had help from defender Jennifer Beech (Devonshire, Bermuda/Saltas Grammar )who played a solid game in the Gulls backfield.

Murray would finish off the game with a second half goal with 2:14 left on the clock. Her goal was unassisted as she weaved her way through two UNE defenders for Endicott's fourth and final goal.

EC improves to 11-3 on the year while UNE falls to 5-6. The Gulls return to CCC action Tuesday October 24, 2006 as they face Regis College in Weston, MA. UNE will look to gain their second CCC win when they meet Anna Maria on October 16th at home in Biddeford ME.
