2023 Football Season Preview; Endicott Picked To Repeat As Conference Champs

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott football team opens up its 2023 season at home against St. Lawrence on Saturday, September 2 at 12 PM. Here's a preview of the Gulls' upcoming season.  

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The Gulls enter the season ranked first overall in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) preseason poll
  • Endicott faces two top-10 nationally ranked opponents in 2023, including No. 8 Hardin-Simmons and No. 9 Ithaca, according to the D3football.com Preseason Poll (Gulls receiving third most votes outside of the top-25 poll)
  • Shane Aylward (Tewksbury, Mass.)Colin Campbell (Howell, N.J.)Hector Johnson (Worcester, Mass.)Matthew Licciardi (East Greenwich, R.I.), Joseph Pagett (Newtown, Conn.), and Kyle Secone (Harpswell, Maine) have all been named team captains this season
  • Last fall, the Gulls' defense ranked among the nation's best (D3) in the following categories: defensive touchdowns (1st, 1st in CCC, 7 TDs), fumbles recovered (1st, 1st, 17), scoring defense (2nd, 1st, 7.5 PPG), team sacks (5th, 1st, 3.73) turnover margin (1st, 1st, 2.18), and turnovers gained (6th, 1st, 31), red zone defense (17th, 1st, .600), team passing efficiency defense (14th, 1st, 95.84), total defense (15th, 1st, 242.0), and third down conversion percentage defense (13th, 1st, .277)
  • Matthew Popino and Mark Ledbetter were promoted to Associate Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach, respectively, in August.

NEW TICKETING POLICY

This year we are introducing a new ticketing system for all home football games at Hempstead Stadium. All tickets are electronic through Eventbrite and are currently live on our schedule page.

No cash sales will be offered at the gate. All seats will be general admission.

All tickets will be $6 (for all ages). Children under 2 are free.

Doors will open 90 minutes prior to the game.

All ticket holders must present a printed-out copy of their order OR the QR code on their phone for admittance. There will be no refunds.
