Danny MacDougall Selected To College World Series All-Tournament Team

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott sophomore designated hitter Danny MacDougall (Taunton, Mass.) has been selected to NCAA Division III College World Series (CWS) All-Tournament Team.

The announcement was made tonight at the conclusion of the NCAA Division III National Championship Game between Lynchburg and Johns Hopkins at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Lynchburg defeated Johns Hopkins, 7-6, to capture its first national championship in program history.

In two games played for the Gulls at the CWS, MacDougall slashed .667/.600/1.000 to go along with two runs scored, six hits — including a three-run homer — and eight RBI.

His three-run blast against Baldwin Wallace on the opening day of the tournament marked the first home run ever hit by a Gull at the CWS.

Additionally, MacDougall is the first student-athlete in school history to earn a spot on an NCAA Division III National Championship All-Tournament Team.

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott won a program record 45 games en route to making its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III College World Series.

The Gulls also were ranked as high as No. 4 nationally throughout the season (program record).
